Rumen8

The original version of Rumen8 was developed while the authors both worked for the Department of Agriculture Food, Western Australia.

SNV Kenya worked closely with the Rumen8 developers to improve Rumen8 so it could be used by dairy consultants and farmers across Kenya and East Africa.
SNV Uganda has provided funds to further improve Rumen8, particularly for their beef consultants and producers.
SNV Ethiopia has provided further funding to improve Rumen8 and create training material supporting trainers and users.

SNV is funded by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Western Dairy and Dairy Australia provided significant funding to improve Rumen8 and ensure it remained free for Australian farmers.

The Victam Foundation in the Netherlands provided funding to upgrade Rumen8 so it is suitable for users in East African countries.

Dr Steve Little provided invaluable input into the design and scope of Rumen8 version 3.0 as part of the development of the Dairy Australia Advanced Nutrition in Action course.
